Created to honor his career, the Jacob Palis Award recognizes up to 10 young researchers from any field of knowledge who stand out for the excellence of their research and seeks to encourage bilateral collaborations with US institutions. Each award-winning initiative can involve a project to be developed within two years, including research activities, technical missions, and academic exchanges. Recipients can be from any field of knowledge.

With the project approved, Clécio will develop a collaboration with researchers at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech, USA). The proposal aims to advance scientific research on cutting-edge topics, as well as create cooperation networks between Brazil and the United States. For him, "the award is a great opportunity to strengthen research ties with major centers and create exchanges that bring scientists from the US to Brazil and vice versa."

O CBPF vem se consolidando como referência na aplicação de Inteligência Artificial à Física, mostrando a força da pesquisa interdisciplinar desenvolvida no Brasil e ampliando seu impacto por meio de colaborações internacionais.
