LAB-IA is a laboratory equipped for manufacturing and operating next-generation multiGPU HPC computers, already integrated with AI research demands.

Its infrastructure covers effective cooling systems, high-speed network connections, reliable electrical power supply with backup options, and specialized areas for hardware assembly, testing, and diagnostics.

Distinctively, the laboratory prioritizes sustainability, implementing green energy and energy efficiency solutions in its high-performance computing systems.

Physical and cybersecurity measures protect data and systems, while advanced management systems monitor and optimize the infrastructure, ensuring a highly efficient and sustainable artificial intelligence research environment.

at LAB-IA, we are engaged in a series of innovative projects that not only advance scientific and technological knowledge, but also foster significant collaborations both nationally and internationally.

Among them, the Sci.Mind Project stands out, developing high-performance supercomputers to drive artificial intelligence research and data analysis across various fields, from astrophysics to biomedical sciences.

In parallel, the Green Artificial Intelligence Project seeks to integrate sustainable solutions into high-performance computing, reflecting our commitment to responsible innovation.

Our collaboration with Petrobras exemplifies our strategic partnership with industry, applying AI to optimize oil and gas exploration and production, while projects such as SOAR — Spectroscopy of LIGO/Virgo O4 Transients Program and SPLUS demonstrate our active participation in international cooperation initiatives, contributing to significant advances in key scientific fields.

These initiatives underscore the importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration in conducting cutting-edge research, opening new paths for discoveries and technological innovations.
